Custody

Your wallet is an embedded wallet created for you through Privy when you sign in with X. The balance is held onchain by that wallet, not by Hey Seily.

Who can sign

  • You can, from the website, using the wallet directly.
  • The Hey Seily backend can, because it is registered as an additional signer on your wallet. This is what makes a post able to execute without you signing in a browser.

This is a real trade-off

Tweet-triggered execution and pure self-custody cannot both be true at once. Hey Seily chooses the former: the backend holds a key that can sign for your wallet, and it uses that key whenever a post from your X account asks it to.

Staying in control

  • Export your wallet's private key from Settings at any time. The wallet is yours and portable.
  • Move funds out to a wallet only you can sign for when you are not actively trading.
  • Treat your X account security as wallet security, because it is.
