Wallets and settings
Your first wallet is created for you when you sign in with X. You can hold several, but only one is used for execution at a time.
Primary wallet
- The wallet marked Primary is the one every post and every dashboard action runs from.
- Any other wallet is a backup: visible and exportable, but never used for execution until you promote it.
- Set as primary switches which one Seily uses. Fund the new one before switching.
What you can do here
| Action | Notes |
|---|---|
| Generate new wallet | Creates another embedded wallet on your account. |
| Import wallet | Brings in a wallet you already own, from its private key or seed phrase. One imported wallet per account. |
| Show private key | Exports the key through Privy so you can import the wallet elsewhere. |
| Copy address | For funding the wallet or receiving a payment. |
| Remove wallet | Unlinks it from your account. Move the funds out first. |
| Currency | Changes the display currency for balances. It does not change what you hold. |
Exporting does not revoke anything
Holding your own copy of the key does not remove the backend's signer access to that wallet, and that access is what lets your posts execute. If you want a wallet only you can sign for, move the funds to one created outside Hey Seily.
